METTLE TAPING MAY 2003 WEEK 1

The NCPW METTLE opening theme WALK ON WATER (Ozzy Osbourne) plays and the TV viewers are shown the opening video that shows most NCPW stars performing one of their finishers. In the live arena, the pyros go off and we get ready for the opening match or interview.

DUCK AND RUN (3 Doors Down) hits the PA, and the crowd boo loudly as "Wildcat" Robbie Brookside takes a walk down to the ring. He stands atop the post closest to the aisle and raises both arms as the crowd boos. He jumps down and grabs a mic.

BROOKSIDE: You know, THIS is exactly what I'm talking about. At Wrestlefest, I turned down the opportunity to join The Coalition, and yet you ass holes still boo me? THEY are the bad guys! They suck! You hate them!

A "BROOKSIDE SUCKS!" chant starts up.

BROOKSIDE: Yeah? I suck too huh? Would any of you get in this ring and take risks like I have done over they ears? NO! Would any of you get in here and screw over "The Game?" NO! All I ask for is some respect. All I want is for things to be a little different. I gave my life to this business, and now EVERYTHING has to be done the hard way…I want support from the crowd I have to work my ass off and beat on the "bad guys"…I want a title shot I have to work my ass off and beat everyone…(in a whisper) all I want is for things to be different. Don't I deserve a break? Don't I…(no longer a whisper) DON'T I DESERVE A GOD DAMN BREAK?

DIE AGAIN (Wolfsbane) plays and NCPW Owner Matt Doyle walks down to the ring holding Robbie Brookside's stare.

BROOKSIDE: I told you I aint joining, so what the Hell do you want?

DOYLE: Just to talk my friend, just to talk. Brit to Brit. Look…listening to you tonight, you want a break right? You want to be given your chance? Well, if you join us, you will be with those who hold the power to give you the break. You scratch ur back, we'll scratch yours. If you join us, you will get the chance you want, you…

BROOKSIDE: Will get things handed to me on a silver platter?

DOYLE: Yeah, that's one way to look at it.

BROOKSIDE: I said I want things easier. I said I want some respect. I DIDN'T say I want things for free. I want to earn everything I get, I just want to do it in a way tha isn't the hard way anymore. I screwed "The Game" out of what he wanted most, and now I'm gonna have a lot to do dealing with him, without needing to worry about being behind Al Snow and Mikey Whipwreck on the pecking order.

DOYLE: Look…what exactly is it that you want? Huh? Everything you've said tonight has been different. I don't think YOU even know what you want! I think you NEED The Coalition!

BROOKSIDE: You really want me in The Coalition THAT bad? Why?

DOYLE: I've got plans…

BROOKSIDE: I tell you what…if tonight you give me a match…me and Mikey against HHH and Raven…then I'll think about it and give you a sign during the match.

Robbie just walks past Matt Doyle and walks back up the aisle as a few fans insult him. He seems indifferent to it all. Doyle looks confused a little, then shrugs his shoulders and leaves too.

Moments later, THE MEANING OF LIFE (The Offspring) plays and Masato Yakushiji runs down to the ring. There seem to be a few fans of his here tonight. BIG BAD MOON (Joe Satriani) hits and Dean Malenko comes out. His reception is quite good, as a portion of the crowd is behind the former tag champ.

DEAN MALENKO VS MASATO YAKUSHIJI
A REALLY good match. Best of all, the crowd responded too! As the near falls mounted up, the crowd were popping more and more for Yakushiji and Malenko than they have done in a long time. The finish was as follows: Dean tried to superplex Masato, but was thrown off. Yakushiji nailed a top-rope elbow drop and then applied the Yakushiji Lock for the tap out. After the match, both shook hands.

Masato Yakushiji made Dean Malenko submit to the Yakushiji Lock in 0:07:40.
Rating: **** 1/4
In the main offices, The Coalition are talking.

MIKEY: Are you sure he wont do anything stupid?

DOYLE: I'll be honest with you Mikey. No. I'm not. He seems a little confused right now, there's no telling what he's gonna do.

KIEFER: If he's smart, then he'll side with us. He'll have a lot on his plate with HHH, he doesn't need us to worry about too.

SNOW: People, can we change the subject here. All we've done is talk about Robbie. We need to look at the big picture.

DOYLE: Being?

SNOW: Getting MY title back!

DOYLE: Al…you were the one who chose the stipulations. You made your bed, now lay in it. You want the belt back, then go get it. We need to get this business sorted out with…

SNOW: Robbie Brookside…have you forgotten that he tried to…well, me and him have history.

KIEFER: Then deal with it. Look, you want a title shot? Huh? Fine. You and Glen tonight, for the belt. I'll even go to ringside to make sure you get the title back, OK?

SNOW: Really? Cool.

MIKEY: Fine. Now that that's sorted, how do we stop Robbie turning on me…

We cut back to the ring, and we hear POISON (Alice Cooper) playing. As the vocals hit, Jericho comes through the curtain to boos and jeers. He seems to be happy tonight, which is strange considering what happened to him at Wrestlefest. He signals to the curtain, and out walks Ralphus and three men in riot squad gear. They walk down to the ring. They stand with Ralphus closest to the aisle, Jericho behind him, and the Riot Squad behind him. Jericho has a mic. Then, SHINE (Motorhead) is played and Chavo Jr. stands in the aisle with his Cruiserweight Belt.

JERICHO: Hey! Chavo! I got my title shot tonight. Now, I know that Billy Kidman and J-Thunder are not too happy with me right now, so I took precautions. You see, I don't need them three clowns costing me the belt that belongs to me, so I got my JPS to hire three riot squad members here to help him out!

Behind Jericho, the Riot Squad are unmasking. The crowd begins to cheer as they do. Jericho has not noticed that Billy Kidman and J-Thunder are now standing behind him with riot shields and clubs.

CHAVO: I think you may want to get your JPS to check out thos Riot Squad members there. I mean, you wouldn't want any mishaps, now would you.

Ralphus turns and walks past Jericho and looks up…he gives a truly shocked look that is mixed with a bit of worry.

JERICHO: Why would you want me to do that?

CHAVO: I want a fair fight here, I mean I wouldn't want those three attacking you or anything.

Ralphus backs away a little and whispers something to Jericho. Jericho turns to face Ralphus.

JERICHO: What do you mean we have a problem?

Ralphus points to the Riot Squad, and Jericho turns to see…

JERICHO: Oh Shi…

They attack Jericho to the crowds delight and have him reeling. They signal to Chavo who cautiously walks down the aisle and enters the ring.

CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
CHAVO GUERRERO JR. (C) VS CHRIS JERICHO
Not much Jericho could do here, and it was really just three and a half minutes of Chavo showing us a few of his moves. Chavo mercifully ended it with the Tornado DDT.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. pinned Chris Jericho with the Tornado DDT in 0:03:33.
Rating: ***
(Chavo Guerrero Jr. retained the NCPW Cruiserweight Title.)
Post match, Kidman and J-Thunder get back in the ring. J-Thunder prop Jericho up in the corner and Ralphus jumps in the ring and stands in front of Jericho waving that fat finger at the former tag champs. J-Thunder look at each other and then throw him back out of the ring. Meanwhile, Kidman shakes Chavo's hand. Chavo still seems a little wary around them though.

KIDMAN: Jericho…this is VERY personal. Chavo…this isn't.

Kidman Kid Krushers Chavo, who rolls out of the ring with his belt.

KIDMAN: You see Jericho, you double-crossed me so now I'm gonna get my revenge. And Chavo…as I said, this is nothing personal, but you have a belt that belongs to me, and I'm gonna get it back…

FUNAKI: Whoa there! Jericho beat you, I beat him, I get the Cruiser belt from Chavo. I…

Kid Krusher to Funaki! TAKA takes offense and nails a Michinou Driver on Kidman. Chavo is scurrying up the aisle and through the curtain.

TAKA: The Young Jaguar is gonna get title belt! Fuanaki you may have title shot once I get belt, but you Kidman…no more! J-Thunder will rule the Cruiserweight Division!

TAKA helps Funaki up and they start up the aisle.

COMMERCIAL

We return with Dinsmore celebrating in the ring to a small reaction. We then hear CURE (MetallicA), and the TV Champ comes out to a large round of boos.

SICK: The Winnipeg Arena…home of the biggest bunch of idiots in the whole of Canada! HAHAHA! Tonight you people shall be left in awe of the most amazing, the most technically sound…the God-like TV Champ of the NCPW Sick Boy!

TV TITLE MATCH
SICK BOY (C) VS NICK DINSMORE
A "SICK BOY SUCKS!" chant had broken out before the bell rang, and as a result, Dinsmore seemed more over than he really is, as everytime he got an advantage, the crowd were red hot, and when Sick Boy had the match under hs control the crowd were chanting "LOSER! LOSER!" As expected, Sick Boy had the advantage for a long time, and in the end finished Dinsmore with The Cure. It should however be noted that Dinsmore looked good when he did have a few moves.

Sick Boy pinned Nick Dinsmore with the Cure in 0:07:28.
Rating: ***
(Sick Boy retained the NCPW TV Title.)
Post match, Sick Boy takes his belt into his hand and stands on the second-rope holding the belt high as the crowd showers him with jeers.

SICK: As all of you an see, YOUR TV champion just took apart one of the best wrestlers there is…of course that's not saying much, after all, I am the best there is…

KILLING MACHINE (Wolfsbane) cuts Sick Boy off, and the "very over in Canada" Chris Benoit stands in the aisle.

BENOIT: You know what…it seems that someone out here in Canada is trying to steal my crown and title. As all Canadaians know, The Crippler is the greatest technical wrestler alive today, and yet, this over-confident "boy" thinks he's some kind of God?

SICK: HEY! I'm the TV champ! You want to say something about me, you say it TO me, not to the crowd!

BENOIT: Fine then. Sick Boy, you think you can back up those words you spoke before the match?

SICK: Oh, I KNOW I can.

BENOIT: Then prove it…against me.

SICK: HAHAHAHA! You think you can just walk in here and challenge me? Just like D'Lo Brown and MEN'S Teiho? Nah, I'm tired of fighting jobbers who think they have what it takes to beat me. But I tell you what. Since I find your claim of being the most technically-sound wrestler in the NCPW to be so absurd and amusing…I'll give you your fair chance. IF you can beat DDP tonight, and another opponent next week, then I'll take it as you have earned your title shot at me and thusly let you have a chance.

BENOIT: I do not need to prove myself to you or anyone else, but if that is the only way to get gold back around my waist them so be it. Sick Boy…I'm coming for you, and you can't stop me.

Benoit leaves to a good ovation, while Sick Boy leaves to the usual heel heat he seems to be able to draw.

Out in the parking lot, Raven and Glen Jacobs are standing leaning against the arena wall with a crate of beer.

RAVEN: …remember though, you can't take Snow lightly. He is after all a three time champion, and a fourth run with the belt is something he's craving…something he has earnt over the last 20 years.

JACOBS: That may be the case, but I'll tell you something Scott. I have worked hard through as many bad gimmicks as he has, I've worked hard through my career, and I too have earned my run with the belt. If he wants the belt back, he's gonna have to work harder than he ever has before.

RAVEN: Fine, but don't fool yourself into thinking you're invincible. You CAN be beaten Glen, and now EVERYONE will be gunning for you.

JACOBS: Even you.

RAVEN: Yes, even me. I want the belt back, justr as much as Al does, I won't worry about doing what it takes to beat you for it.

HHH comes out through the doors, and takes a can from the crate.

HHH: Glen…congratulations on your win. I wish you luck with the title.

JACOBS: Thanks.

HHH: Tonight Raven, you and me have to work together to beat Robbie and Mikey. We…

RAVEN: I know. I have no problem with you Hunter, I'll be on your side.

HHH nods and goes back in the arena. We cut back to the ring, where the two teams are already in the ring.

ZERO-G VS FLAMES OF REDEMPTION
As good as anyone could have hoped for. The newer team had their fair share of attack in the match, and the former tag champs held their own too. Back and forth through out, and the crowd was hot. Things looked like it might sway towards FoR when The Innovators ran down to the ringside, but they were quickly followed by The Jackyl Pack. While those teams brawled on the outside, FoR took Zero-G down with stereo powerbombs. Eiji then ran the ropes and dove out onto the two brawling teams outside the ring. When Essa tried the same, Kash tripped him and he and Devon picked him up…FREE FALL! Devon covered for the three.

Zero-G defeated Flames Of Redemption when D. Storm pinned Essa after Free Fall in 0:07:46.
Rating: ***
Post match, the two teams continued to brawl outside, and Zero-G and FoR were soon in the middle of it too as the referees ran in to pull them apart.

COMMERCIAL.

We return to see Malenko and Yakushiji shaking hands in the back.

MALENKO: Then it's agreed. You pick your team, I'll pick mine and we'll meet at Elimination this month.

They part ways and we cut to Sick Boy watching a TV Screen.

SICK: Damn idiot. He thinks he's the best huh…we'll see.

Rob Van Dam walks past. He stops and talks to Sick Boy.

RVD: Hey Sick Boy! Hows things with you my man?

SICK: Huh? Oh, hi Rob. Benoit thinks he's the best technical wrestler in the NCPW, and wanted to challenge me.

RVD: What did  you say?

SICK: I told him he aint the best, and that he has to earn his title shot.

RVD: Way to go TV Champ guy! Everyone knows Benoit aint the best anyway.

SICK: Yeah, the best technical wrestler in the NCPW is…

RVD: Rob Van Dam!

SICK: HAHAHAHA!

RVD: What?

SICK: You've got a sense of humour, and I can respect that.

RVD: What? Everybody knows that Rob Van Dam is the best.

SICK: You mean you're not joking? Look Rob…you're in the FTW Division. All these time I see you all you're doing is hitting some other guy with weapons and pulling off crazy high spots. You aint no technical genius there Rob.

RVD: Whoa there! You mean you think I can't wrestle?

SICK: Well…

RVD: OK, you can have your opinion. I tell you what. I've got Rhino tonight, and I'll win the match without using weapons. Will that prove my talent to you?

SICK: That'll do for a start.

RVD: Grat! Then tonight you and all of the world will see that I really am the best! I'm the Whole F'N Show after all.

RVD walks off.

SIKC: Yeah! You go Rob…idiot.

In the ring, SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT (Nirvana) plays and DDP comes out. He has a decent reaction, but nothing like it used to be. He is joined when KILLING MACHINE (Wolfsbane) plays and an over like crazy Benoit walks out. He seems serious.

CHRIS BENOIT VS DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE
DDP controlled the first two minutes, and Benoit didn't seem willing to do much. Then, at the two minute mark, Benoit reversed a back body drop with a sunset flip for a two count and from there it went all Benoit. Everytime from there DDP tried anything, Benoit reversed it. It seems like Benoit had spent the first few minutes learning how DDP was going to fight. Four German Suplxes were followed with a Crossface for the near immeadiate tap out.

Chris Benoit made Diamond Dallas Page submit to the Crippler Crossface in 0:06:28.
Rating: **
Post match, Sick Boy walks out to the aisle with a mic.

SICK: I'll give you something Benoit, you CAN wrestle, but you aint THAT good.

BENOIT: Tell me Sick Boy. How's your memory? I managed to dig up some old footage you may remember.

The Big Screen shows some footage from WCW where we see Benoit squashing Sick Boy. Sick Boy smiles at the footage, and it ends.

SICK: I'll tell you this once and once only Chris. This is NOT WCW. You see, the NCPW saw fit to lety me be all that I can be, and to work my style. The NCPW let me come into my own, and so…don't take me lightly Benoit. You wont beat me that easily. You got one more match to win to get your title shot.

Sick Boy leaves and we cut to the back and see Mikey waiting outside the toilets. Robbie Brookside walks out.

MIKEY: You ready? Good. Now lets get out there and do this for The Coalition.

Robbie stares at Mikey.

BROOKSIDE: Whatever.

He walks on, and Mikey watches him go, shaking his head. He then follows.

Back in the ring, TO MYSELF I TURNED (Lacuna Coil) plays and Raven and HHH walk out through the curtain. They stand in the ring and flash the old Triad sign for the fans who cheer. We then hear DIE AGAIN (Wolfsbane) and Mikey and Robbie walk out. The crowd boos them and Mikey shout back, while Robbie just walks on to the ring.

HHH AND RAVEN VS MIKEY WHIPWRECK AND ROBBIE BROOKSIDE
The match opened with HHH and Robbie. They trade a few moves, and then HHH takes over. A few high impact moves leads to Robbie tagging Mikey. Robbie then goes and gets a mic. He gets back on the apron. From here, Miey hit a few moves on HHH, but HHH and Raven (showing their Traid roots) worked over the Coalition member. Robbie was screaming into the mic "COME ON MIKEY! GET BACK IN THERE!" When Mikey hit a double low blow, and crawled over to Robbie, robbie spooke into the mic again "You know what? Screw The Coalition." He then walked up the aisle. Mikey just looked on, and turned around to be Evenflow DDT'd by Raven for the pin.

HHH and Raven defeated Mikey Whipwreck and Robbie Brookside when Raven pinned Whipwreck with the Evenflow DDT in 0:11:18.
Rating: ** 1/4
Post match, Robbie sits at the top of the aisle and speaks again.

ROBBIE: Let me see here…screw The Coalition, screw Canada, and screw you HHH. You see, if I get you in the ring then I'll kick your ass. You aint gonna get to Kiefer just yet, because you got ME to deal with. And after that, Glen Jacobs is gonna have to fight me. YOU HEAR THAT GLEN! I'M GONNA BEAT HHH, THEN I'M GONNA TKE THAT BELT OF YOURS!

As Robbie leaves, we cut to the Coalition offices.

KIEFER: What the fuck was that?

DOYLE: You know…I think that may just be a God send.

SNOW: What? Why?

DOYLE: If you don't get that belt tonight Al, Robbie is gonna have to deal with Glen Jacobs, HHH and us. HHH will have to deal with Robbie and us anyway, so we can kill two birds with one stone here.

SNOW: How do we do that then boss man?

DOYLE: Throw the match tonight Al. I don't care how, just don't win.

SNOW: What? This better be good, or it aint happening…

Back in the ring, WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE (Guns `N' Roses) hits and "The Man Beast" enters to a good sized ovation. We then hear WALK (Pantera) and the FTW Champion enters the ring to the usual "Rob…VAN DAM SUCKS!" chants. He does his pointing to himself routine, and Rhino Gores him off the apron!

FTW TITLE MATCH
ROB VAN DAM (C) VS RHINO
Rhino having the early advantage used evrything that wasn't bolted down to deal with the champ. However, when he tried to Gore RVD in the ringside area, Rob dropped to the floor, and Rhino went straight into the ring steps! RVD from here…well, he did something out of the ordinary for RVD. He applied a hammerlock on Rhino. He then German Suplexed the man Beast. After a few minutes of offense, he instinctively Grabbed a chair and threw it to Rhino…then stopped himself from doing the Van Daminator just before he jumped. He seemed puzzled as what to do instead though, and was hit with a chair shot. RVD bailed and grabbed a mic. He stated "You know what? I'm Rob Van Dam! I'm the Whole F'N Show! I don't need to prove myself to Sick Boy, or anyone else! All you fans know I rule, and I know that I'm the best, so…" The crowd starts a "RVD SUCKS!" chant. RVD says "You damn right I ROCK!" He then grabs a chair and gets in the ring. Duelling chairs didn't last long, as RVD did the splits to avoid a side swinging chair shot and hits Rhino low with the chair. He then nailed a Van Daminator. Fro mthere, RVD used the chair as much as normal and eventually put Rhino away with the ***** Frog Splash.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match
Rob Van Dam pinned Rhino with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:15:07.

When we return we catch that this is a Submission match. We then hear THORN WITHIN (MetallicA) and Ken Shamorck runs down to a mixed reaction. He is joined by an over Taz who entered to WAR MACHINE (Kiss) and got a few cheers and a "FUCK HIM UP TAZ, FUCK HIM UP!" Chant.

SUBMISSION MATCH
Taz nailed his usual array of brutal suplexes, ad tried the Tazmission a few times. Meanwhile, Ken snapped and took over with some brutal moves of his own like a Hurucanrana that rammed Taz head first into the mat. He locked in the Nakle Lock at around 8 minutes and 20 and got the tap.

Ken Shamrock made Taz submit to the Ankle Lock Submission in 0:08:59.

Shamrock grabs a mic post match.

SHAMROCK: So we all know that our owner has a plan for the PPV, but Elimination needs more matches. Glen…I want that belt you hold and I want it NOW! But that aint gonna happen. SO,at Elimination, I want a match. I am opening a challenge for two people. Any two people back there who want a chance to get the world title can face me at Elimination in an elimination three-way. Before you all rush to me and say "oh, I want to take you up on your challenge" think…can you beat me?

Shamrock leaves. Taz is gone by this time and we get ready for the main event.

After a few minutes, the commentators are finished talking about the world title and the "plan" The Coalition obviously has and we hear DIE AGAIN (Wolfsbane) and Al Snow walks down the aisle with Kiefer Sutherland. He is soon joined by…INSIDE (Stiltskin) Glen Jacobs enters to a standing ovation with his belt.

WORLD TITLE MATCH
GLEN JACOBS (C) VS AL SNOW
Snow and Glen traded some…err…actually they stalled for a few minutes. Then we heard ACE OF SPADES (Motorhead) and HHH ran down the aisle, making a dash for Kiefer. Snow exited the ring and met him half-way….HHH clotheslined Snow! He's got Kiefer puched up against the ring post! Robbie Brookside runs in through the crowd! He floors HHH! Kiefer looks relieved and runs up the aisle and checks on Al. Glen exits the ring and the referee restarts his ten count. Glen walks towards Snow, who begs off. Meanwhile, we get a double count out.

Glen gets closer to Al, but then DIE AGAIN (Wolfsbane) plays and Mikey and Doyle walk through the curtain. Mikey gets between Glen and Snow, and Doyle just walks straight past. Glen looks on as Doyle just ignores the chaos around him. He gets In the ring.

DOYLE: If I could have the attention of everyone here…

The action on the outside continues as Robbie and HHH brawl, and both are busted open. Glen walks back down the aisle and gets in the ring.

DOYLE: Thank you Glen. Nice to see our champion has some sense of respect. I know you two out there rolling around the floor together can hear me so…Glen, I know you want to defend your title at Elimination. Now, Al up there wants his rematch, and you have to admit he has earnt it. Robbie down there aint gonna stop whining till he gets his shot, so maybe we should give him a title shot, yes? And as for HHH…well, Robbie is hardly gonna leave him alone now, is he?

Glen walks forward and stands toe-to-toe with the NCPW Owner, and looks down on him.

DOYLE: Now Glen, don't get like that, or I'll strip you of that belt.

Glen backs off.

DOYLE: Now, at Elimination, there will be a World Title match. I thought…how can we The Coalition get the most out of this situation…DOUBLE JEOPARDY! In the mjiddle of the ring at Elimination, Glen Jacobs, you will face Al Snow. And you two out there will face each other too. The two survivors then face off.

Glen smiles and seemingly likes the idea. He reaches out a hand to Doyle, who looks confused. Glen says something we miss, and the two shake. Doyle then leaves the ring as the cameras zoom in on Robbie and HHH fighting on the outside.

Fade out.

METTLE TAPING MAY 2003 WEEK 2

The usual WALK ON WATER (Ozzy Osbourne)video cues the start of NCPW METTLE! The commentators welcome us to the show as the pyros go off. After the pyro have died down, we cut to the parking lot. Two cars pull up. Out of one steps Al Snow and Matt Doyle. The other has Mikey Whipwreck and Kiefer Sutherland. The Coalition walk to the arena doors as we cut to the ring.

SYMPTHONY OF DESTRUCTION (Megadeth) plays and Nick Dinsmore walks down to the ring. He maqy not have any gimmick or a storyline right now, but the crowd are slowly warming to him. We then hear the piano play a familiar tune that leads into WE WILL ROCK YOU (Seasons Of The Wolf) and Tiger Mask IV jumps through the curtain. TMIV has a split crowd. There are quite a few fans of Tiger here, but then there are also those who hate him.

TIGER MASK IV VS NICK DINSMORE
The former TV champ and the new comer managed to open the show quite well. Dinsmore rallied the crowd behind him hitting a series of arm drags, hip tosses, drop toe hold and a dropkick sending TMIV to the outside. TMIV also had the crowd hot with his usual Flip Kick in the corner followed by a back spin kick sending Dinsmore to the outside. TMIV followed upp with a dive onto Dinsmore. The end came when the former TV champ nailed a Yokosuka Cutter on the new guy to get the three count.

Tiger Mask IV pinned Nick Dinsmore after the Yokosuka Cutter in 0:05:13.
Rating: ** 3/4

Post match, TMIV and Dinsmore shake hands. THE MEANING OF LIFE (Offspring) then plays and Masato Yakushiji walks down to the ring to a small pop. He is followed by Dean Malenko.

MALENKO: As you all know, me and Masato here are captaining teams at Elimination. After watching you two tonight we would like to off you the first two places in the teams. Nick…I see a lot of potential in you, and so I want you on my team on the PPV. Masato would like you Tiger Mask to be on his team.

Dinsmore and TMIV appear to think about it, and then both nod and shake hands with their captains at Elimination. As they leave the ring, we cut to…

…in the back of the arena, Chavo Guerrero Jr. is taking a walk with is belt. He seems to be a little nervous tonight and is mumbling something about "four guys out to get him" and is constantly loking around. He eventually comes to a door with a security guard standing in front of it.

CHAVO: Hey. You got it?

The security guard hands Chavo a video tape and lets him in the room.

CHAVO: Remember…DO NOT let Billy Kidman, J-Thunder, or Chris Jericho in. And if you have a problem…knock twice.

Chavo closes the door and we go back to the ring.

TARGET (Kouji Wada) plays and MEN'S Teiho walks down the ramp to decent pop. He has with im a big black bag. Once in the ring, he opens it and takes out a pile of weapons like kendo sticks, a frying pan and more. He takes a mic.

TEIHO: I have taken with me tonight all these weaponry. I challenge anyone in back to show they are more hardcore than I am!

Teiho picks up a kendo stick and stands in a corner waiting for a challenger. We then hear ANARCHY IN THE UK (Sex Pistols)! Doug Williams runs in to a lud ovation! He ducks under a kendo stick swing by MEN'S and grabs the frying pan! BANG! Teiho is reeling!

FTW RULES MATCH
DOUG WILLIAMS VS MEN'S TEIHO
Teiho's first FTW match tonight, and Doug making his return to the division he dominated until RVD came along. MEN's fired back at the start with a few weapon shots and went ofr the Miracle Ecstacy, but Doug escaped the move and proceeded to suplex Teiho around like he was nothing. He eventually ended a crimson masked Teiho's night with his Northern Lights Suplex.

Post match, Teiho backs into a corner, and Doug takes a mic.

DOUG: Hello Michigan! Tonight, The Anarchist once again caused havoc In the ring, and now it's time to get down to business! Rob Van Dam…you took my FTW Title belt because you had that little punk-ass lover of yours Justin Credible cheat me. Well…pay back's a bitch! You Rob can get ready for Hell! I've got it cleared, and at Elimination, there is gonna be a FTW Elimination Match! It's gonna be me, Taz, and MEN'S Teiho here against you RVD, and Justin Credible, and Rhino! HOW'S THAT SOUND MICHIGAN?

The crowd cheers loudly as Doug basks in the cheers. Teiho meanwhile seems surprised to be on the team and is seemingly very happy about it. He and Doug walk up the aisle and talk a few things through. As they get to the curtain, a chair comes flying through, and is caught by Doug. VAN DAMINATOR! Doug is down! CANE SHOT! TEIHO IS DOWN TOO! RVD and Justin Credible ae in the aisle now taunting the fallen duo. We then hear WAR MACHINE (Kiss) and RVD and Justin knowing this is Taz's cue run down to the ring and turn to the aisle begging him to come in. Taz enters from the crowd just behind them. He stands behind the two as the crowd go wild…HALF-NELSON TAZPLEX TO CREDIBLE! RVD realises who he's in the ring with now and turns back towards Taz. BIG MISTAKE! BELLY-TO-BELLY TAZPLEX WIPES OUT THE FTW CHAMPION! We then hear WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE (Guns `N' Roses) and "The Man Beast" Rhino runs down to the ring! He stands opposite Taz as the crowd chant "TAZ IS GONNA KILL YOU!" Rhino charges in…BELLY-TO-BELLY TAZPLEX! The crowd is going wild…RHINO NO SOLD IT! GORE! Taz is down as Rhino stands above him! The crowd is booing him badly now! As the carnage is being cleared, we cut to…

In the parking lot, we see HHH with a baseball bat. Where's he going? HHH sees something and smiles. The cameras pan around and we see…Kiefer Sutherland's car! HHH and his baseball bat are beating the living Hell out of the commissioner's car! Meanwhile…

In the ring, and oblivious to what is happening outside, Mikey Whipwreck, Kiefer Sutherland, Matt Doyle and Al Snow are in the ring waiting for Mikey's opponent. PRISONER (Iron Maiden) plays and Koji Kanemoto walks down the ramp with Shinjiro Ohtani. The match begins.

MIKEY WHIPWRECK VS KOJI KANEMOTO
The match started with Koji nailing Mikey with just about everything he had, but then Mikey hit a Franken-Mikey! Mikey gets back into the match and the crowd give him a standing boovation. Meanwhile, Ohtani and the Coalition have got into a shouting match. The referee gets out of the ring to stop it as Koji nails a Tiger Suplex. He lets go of the hold and shouts to the referee. CHAIR SHOT FROM MIKEY! Kiefer takes the cahir while the referee berates Ohtani. He gets back in the ring as Mikey hits a Whippersnapper. 1-2-3.

Mikey Whipwreck pinned Koji Kanemoto with the Whippersnapper in 0:05:20.
Rating: *** ½

Mikey celebrates in the ring and is joined by the rest of The Coalition. Ohtani drags Koji out of the ring and the two leave. Meanwhile Mikey gets on the house mic.

MIKEY: That's it…you walk away or I'll kick your ass again! WHOOO! Ladies and Gentlemen, Mikey Whipwreck is in the house!

The crowd boos.

MIKEY: What I wish to address right now is what Ken Shamrock said last week. You said you want two challengers for Elimination, right? Well, I'm that damn good, so I'll take both spots!

THORN WITHIN (MetallicA) plays and Ken Shamrock walks down to the ring while talking.

SHAMROCK: Whoa there Mikey! You seem pretty damn confident, don't ya? Well, if you're that damn stupid, and that eager to have your ankle snapped then that's fine with me. However, a shrimp like you can hardly take both spots, so there is still one spot open for the elimination…

A familiar piece of music plays, that we have come to know as TO MYSELF I TURNED (Lacuna Coil) and as the haunting vocals start, Raven walks through the curtain to a loud ovation. The music fades.

RAVEN: You said you want people who think they can beat you right Ken? Well I've beaten both of you before, so I figured…hey! Why don't I take that second spot? I mean, you two up there can argue and insult each other all you want, but you two certainly aren't Raven. And after Elimiantion, I will be going on to Overdrive to face the World Champion, who I have no doubt will still be Glen Jacobs. Quote The Raven. Nevermore.

We cut to a COMMERCIAL.

We are back, and DDP and Tajiri are in the ring already.
DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE VS TAJIRI
DDP and Tajiri worked surprisingly well together tonight. They traded off a few blows early on, but Tajiri got the advantage with his speed and managed to control DDP for a while. Tajiri then grabbed DDP in Reverse DDT position, lifted him horizontal and dropped. He then picked DDP up again, and put him in the same position. Lifted horizontal…DIAMOND CUTTER! DDP hit his finisher! One…Two…Three!

Diamond Dallas Page pinned Tajiri with the Diamond Cutter in 0:06:20.
Rating: ** 1/4

DDP celebrates I nthe ring as the crowd cheer last years F8 Winner and the former TV champ. We then hear BIG BAD MOON (Joe Satriani) and Malenko and Yakushiji enter again.

MALENKO: I'm sure you two know why we're out here. Tajiri…Masato wants you on his team at Elimiantion, and DDP…you are more than welcome to join me and Dinsmore.

Tajiri quickly shakes Yakushiji's hand and joins his team. DDP meanwhile thinks a little then takes the mic.

DDP: Dean-O…you and me go back a long way, don't we? And you say you want ME, DDP on your Elimination team? Well, then your team is from now Malenko…Dinsmore…and the king of Bada Bing…Bada Boom…Bada BANG!

We cut to Chavo Guerrero Jr.s locker room. Chavo is watching video footage of J-Thunder kncoking on Jericho's door then running in and attacking him.

CHAVO: Damn sneaky. Knocking on the door to lure the champ into a false sense of security huh? Well, I won't fall for that one. This tape is making it so easy to avoid letting them get an advantage over me. Now…onto the Kidman footage…

At the door we hear a "Knock…Knock". Chavo looks to the door nervously. He then picks up his chair.

CHAVO: Oh no…you aint getting me like you go Jericho.

Chavo slowly opens the door…

SECURITY GUARD: Yeah, I need…

BANG! Chavo slams the door into the guards face and hits him with the chair! The guard stumbles a bit, then looks up to Chavo.

SECURITY GUARD: Fine then! I wont go to the toilet! Happy?

He slams the door and Chavo is left looking a little stupid. We cut to…

KAZE (Kouji Wada) plays and Juvi comes out to near no reaction. However, KILLING MACHINE (Wolfsbane) brings the crowd to its feet. If Benoit wins tonight, he gets a shot at Sick Boy's TV Title at Elimination.

CHRIS BENOIT VS JUVENTUD GUERRERA
A really good match. The problem was that no one saw Juvi as a threat to Benoit, so of course they didn't really give much of a reaction to Juvi. His high spots did get the "firework reaction" of oooh and aaaahh, but nothing else. Benoit meanwhile had the crowd going and got the tap at about the ten minute mark with the Crossface.

Chris Benoit made Juventud Guerrera submit to the Crippler Crossface in 0:10:20.
Rating: **** ¼

Benoit celebrates and then CURE (MetallicA) hits the PA, and the TV champion Sick Boy is standing in the aisle amidst an uproar of boos.

SICK: Well I'll be damned…you actually got your two wins. OK Benoit, you can have your match but wbe warned…the ass kicking I give you at Elimination is gonna be just as bad as Michigan's average IQ rating…and believe me, THAT is bad!

The crowd boos. Benoit just shakes his head as we cut to…

In the Coalition offices, Doyle and Snow are sitting down talking to Mikey. Kiefer then enters, and the three go quiet.

KIEFER: What? Why have you all gone quiet?

DOYLE: Now Kiefer. We're gonna show you this footage from earlier, and I want you promise me you wont freak out. OK?

KIEFER: O…K…

Kiefer sees a video of HHH smashing his car up. Kiefer's face goes into shick, and he storms out of the room.

SNOW: I think I best go after him.

Snow leaves too. We go to…

COMMERCIAL…

Back again, and in the parking lot, Kiefer is seen walking towards his car shouting "MY CAR!" As he gets closer, someone throws him to the floor. It's HHH! He has the baseball bat to Kiefer's throat! He's shouting something to Kiefer, but is dragged off by Snow. Snow then gets clocked with the baseball bat, and HHH moves towards Kiefer again. He takes a swing at Kiefer with the bat, but Kiefer dives to the side, and HHH hits the car again. He turns…SPEAR! ROBBIE BROOKSIDE JUST SPEARED HHH ONTO KIEFER SUTHERLAND'S CAR! He's laying into HHH with rights and lefts. Kiefer wakes Snow up and the two scarper.

Back in the ring, we have already started…
THE ELIMINATORS VS BRITISH STORM
Not what was expected from these two teams. Still not bad though. End to a normal tag match came when the former tag champs hit Total Elimiantion on both guys.

The Eliminators defeated British Storm when Kronus pinned J. Fleisch after Total Elimination in 0:09:46.
Rating: ** 1/2
DIE AGAIN (Wolfsbane) plays and a slightly groggy Al Snow makes his way down to the ring. The tag teams leave on his command and he gets a mic.

SNOW: HHH…you son of a bitch. When I've done with Gle nJacobs at Elimination, I REALLY hope it's you and me left in the Double Jeopardy! I am gonna get my hands on you one way or the other…I…

TAKE A LOOK AROUND (Limp Bizkit) D'LO BROWN!

D'LO: Well Mr. Snow…since you're all ready out in the ring, what you and me having a little match?

D'Lo charges the ring to mild applause.

AL SNOW VS D'LO BROWN
D'Lo overwhelmed the former world champ to start with, but Snow soon came back scoring with a Ryadeen Bomb. He then moonsaulted D'Lo for two. A Snow Plow got another two. He waited till D'Lo got up…Superkick! With D'Lo down, Snow hit his springboard leg drop finisher for the pinfall everyone saw coming.

Al Snow pinned D'Lo Brown with the Springboard Leg Drop in 0:06:31.
Rating: ** 3/4
Post match, Snow celebrates in the ring and begins to walk up the aisle…INSIDE (Stiltskin)! Glen Jacobs is walking down the aisle towards Al Snow! Snow is begging off! He is shouting something about "I Don't need this right now!" and Glen is still coming. Both are now in the ring and Glen takes a mic.

JACOBS: AL…AL, AL, AL…what makes you think I wont kick your ass like I did at Wrestlefest, huh? WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT THE DEMON OF DESTRUCTION CAN BE STOPPED BY YOU? WHAT MAKES YOU THINK…

Superkick by Snow! Glen goes down, and Al takes the mic.

SNOW: Glen Jacobs…you…are not…a God!

Snow takes his walk up the aisle as Glen recovers. Glen sees Al walking up the aisle and kciks the ropes in frustraion. D'Lo is getting up too…Glen sees his chacne to get the aggression out. D'Lo gets up…MY GOD! GLEN JACOBS NEARLY DECAPITATED D'LO WITH THAT LARIAT! D'Lo is dead! We cut to…

…Chavo is in the back walking the halls again.

CHAVO: Damnit…Could have told me I don't hae a match tonight…

Chavo turns a corner…

CHAVO: WHOA!

It's Jericho! Chris Jericho and Chavo are face to face!

JERICHO: I see you still got that belt. Well, don't get too attached, I'm coming to get it back baby!

Chavo runs like crazy, and Jericho looks confused ny his reaction. We then hear a smack. As the camera pans around, Kidman has just dropped Chavo with a chair shot. Jericho runs down the hall and heel kicks Kidman. J-Thunder then appear a four way bralw has started. Chavo meanwhile has recovered enoguh to grab his belt and run the other way. We go back to…

Back in the ring…KRYPTONITE (3 Doors Down) plays and The Innovators come out to a good face reaction from the Michigan faithful. STONE DEAD FOREVER (Motorhead) then hits and the crowd boo loudly as the tag champs come down for what is set to be an awesome title match.

TAG TITLES MATCH
THE JACKYL PACK (C) VS THE INNOVATORS
As good as any TV match, the two team went back and forth. The deciding factor however would be from Zero-G. As Nova got ready to jump off the top rope at Modest, Zero-G ran in from the crowd and hit a Free Fall on Kanyon. Nova distracted, was then crotched by Eddie. Modest got on top and hit the top=rope cradle suplex, and Eddie followed up with the frog splash for a three.

The Jackyl Pack defeated The Innovators when E. Guerrero pinned Nova with the Frog Splash in 0:09:14.
Rating: ***
(The Jackyl Pack retained the NCPW Tag Team Titles.)

Zero-G get in the ring and nail a Free Fall on Nova. As they taunt, The Jackyl Pack grab the tag belts and…belt shots to Zero-G! We then see Flames of Redemption run down the aisle! They springboard over the ropes, but get belt shots too! As The Jackyl Pack celebrate, we see the big screen flash on…Matt Doyle is on it!

DOYLE: OK people, I've seen enough of this. You guys obviously need to sort a few things out betweem you. I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. At Elimiantion, we will have FoR and The Innovators vs Zero-G and The Jackyl Pack.

The screen goes off and The Jackyl Pack look pissed off. They stomp Zero-G a little and then leave to boos and jeers. Meanwhile…

Outside, Robbie and HHH are still fighting it out. They brawl towards the arena and Robbie ges thrown into the halls by HHH. Back in the ring…

FTW RULES MATCH
JUSTIN CREDIBLE VS RHINO
Credible and Rhino had a FTW match. Well, sort of. They hit each other with weak moves and weapon shots for a while, then Credible hit a weak That's Incredible that saw Rhino's head a long way off from hitting the floor. 1-2-3.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match
Justin Credible pinned Rhino with the That's Incredible in 0:06:25.
Rating: * 1/4

Rhino gets up straight away. The two shake hands and leave together with the crowd feeling ripped-off. So who could get them back in a good mood to finish the show? LOCO (Coal Chamber) plays and Super Crazy enters the ring to…not a lot. INSIDE (Stiltskin) plays and Glen Jacobs walks down to the ring still looking pissed off as the crowd get on their feet!

WORLD TITLE MATCH
GLEN JACOBS (C) VS SUPER CRAZY
Here's how it went: Super Crazy hits a few kicks and a dropkick that send Glen towards the ropes. Super Crazy runs the ropes and goes for a cross-body. Caught! Back-breaker. From there, Glen destroyed Super Crazy. Glen hit the Unabomb. One…two…Glen picks him up. He stands Crazy in the middle of the ring…LARIAT! SUPER CRAZY IS DEADER THAN D'LO BROWN! That's the three.

Glen Jacobs pinned Super Crazy with the Lariat in 0:02:17.
Rating: ** 1/4
(Glen Jacobs retained the NCPW World Title.)

When the three hit, HHH and Robbie came through the curtain. HHH and Robbie are beating ten tons of shenola outta each other. Glen shakes his head and leaves the ring. He walks towards then two warriors, and then the entire Coalition walk thorugh the curtain. Mikey and Snow take out HHH and Robbie: Mikey whippersnappers Robbie, and HHH gets a Snow Plow then a superkick. They then charge at Glen…he grabs them for a double choke slam! Kiefer and Doyle spear Glen down! Mikey and Snow are punching away as the show fades…

METTLE TAPING MAY 2003 WEEK 3

After the usual WALK ON WATER (Ozzy Osbourne) opening sequence, the arena appears on screen and the ptros down the aisle and on the ring posts go off, signalling the start of the show. We are only two weeks from ELIMINATION 2003: DOUBLE JEOPARDY, so lets go to ringside.

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE (Guns `N' Roses) signals the entrance of the now hated Rhino. Indeed, he has a lot of heat going into this one. TARGET (Kouji Wada) starts off a small pop as MEN'S Teiho enters the ring for this FTW match. Both men are on opposing teams in the FTW Elimination match at Elimination.

FTW RULES
RHINO VS MEN'S TEIHO
The best thing about this match? Erm…OK, so it wasn't very good. On the upside, Rhino did maintain his heat. At the fourth minute, RVD and Justin Credible ran in with a chair and singapore cane, and began to lay into MEN'S. A Triple Team beating was stopped when Doug Williams and Taz ran in and took RVD and Credible apart with suplexes. Meanwhile, Rhino Gored MEN'S for the win.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Match
Rhino pinned MEN'S Teioh with the Rhino Gore in 0:06:07.
Rating: * 1/2

While a bral ensues in the ring, and at ringside, we cut to Chavo Guerrero Jr. He is in his locker room. We hear a knock at his door.

CHAVO: Enter…

Chris Jericho enters, and Chavo backs against the wall.

JERICHO: Whoa! I just want to talk! OK? Just to talk.

Chavo cautiosly sits down again, and Jericho sits opposite him. We cut back to the ring…

TAKE A LOOK AROUND (Limp Bizkit) is the cue for the D'Lo fans to start jumping ans screaming…yep, the few there are are making quite a noise. Then LOCO (Coal Chamber) kicks in and Super Crazy enters to a small pop from a few loyal fans.

SUPER CRAZY VS D'LO BROWN
The crowd actually got into this one. The two traded some good looking blows and throws for a while, and then took to the air. With the high impact moves building, Dean Malenko and Masato Yakushiji walked down the aisle to good reactions and took opposite corners. Dean cheered on D'Lo and Super Crazt had support from Yakushiji. The end came when D'Lo slipped out of a Crazy Driver and nailed the Sky High. He then went up top and tried a moonsault. Crazy moved, and D'Lo was hurt. Crazy then hit his own moonsault for the three.

Super Crazy pinned D'Lo Brown with the Moonsault in 0:09:18.
Rating: *** 1/4

Post match saw the same scene we have been seeing lately. The Elimination teams were completed as Yakushiji recruited Crazy and Dean took in D'Lo. Meanwhile, in the back, we see Jericho and Chavo shake hands and Jericho leaves the room.

Back in the ring, CURE (MetallicA) signals the crowd to boo loudly as Sick Boy enters with his TV Title Belt. Once in the ring, WALK (Pantera) kicks in and RVD enters with his FTW Title belt. He grabs a mic.

RVD: Welcome Montreal…to the greatest show on earth! What you have the opportunity to do tonight is cheer for the greatest combination in the NCPW! That's right, unlike anything you Canadians have ever seen before, we have in this corner, one of the greatest competitors in the NCPW…your TV champion, SICK BOY!

Sick Boy taunts the fans as they boo him.

RVD: And of course you have the greatest in the NCPW…any, the greatest in the whole world, the man, the myth, the legend, the NCPW FTW Champion, the one and only, ROB! VAN! DAM!

RVD points to himself as the crowd boo him as loudly as they booed Sick Boy. The crowd soon erupts into a chorus of cheers though, as KILLING MACHINE (Wolfsbane) means that Doug Williams and Chris Benoit run in and start the match.

SICK BOY & ROB VAN DAM VS CHRIS BENOIT & DOUG WILLIAMS
On a side note, Benoit was one of Doug's heroes growing up, and his ring style is very similar to The Crippler's. Then of course, Sick Boy and RVD…they seem to be working well together here. As the match started with all four men, Benoit and Doug hit stereo German Suplexes. Sick Boy and RVD hit stereo no-sells and both took Benoit and Doug to the outside. Stereo planchas and they got back into the ring and high fived as the crowd bombarded them with various chants. From there, the match went back and forth with Sick Boy and RVD looking like a long time team for the majority of it. The end came with a ***** Frog Splash by RVD on Doug.

Sick Boy and Rob Van Dam defeated Chris Benoit and Doug Williams when Van Dam pinned Williams with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:07:05.
Rating: *** ¼

Post match, RVD grabs a mic.

RVD: And so, Montreal has seen the top two wrestlers in the NCPW beat the asses of their Elimination opponents! People, bow the greatness that is Sick Boy, and worship the God-like Rob Van Dam!

Sick Boy grabs the mic from him.

SICK: Jesus Christ Rob! When was the last time you looked in the mirror?

RVD: This morning?

SICK: That's not what I meant! You have a REALLY high opinion of yourself!

RVD: Called Confidence there Scott.

SICK: What? You haven't got confidence! You've got a problem!

RVD: A problem? I'm Rob Van Dam! I don't have problems! I have an aura of brilliance!

Sick Boy shakes his head and leaves the ring. RVD follows and tries to catch up as we cut to the back. In a locker-room, The Jackyl Pack are talking.

EDDIE: I can't believe we got stuck with Zero-G! I mean Kid Kash and Devon Storm? What did we do to deserve them?

MODEST: I know man, this isn't right…but there is an up-side!

EDDIE: Being?

MODEST: When we get match of the night at Elimiantion, the world will have seen that we are good enough to carry our partners as well as our opponents!

EDDIE: HAHAHA! OK, OK, I'll give you that. So what about tonight?

MODEST: What? Tonight?

EDDIE: One of us has to team up with one of Zero-G to face Kanyon and Essa. The other two will face Nova and Eiji.

MODEST: Oh…well, I've got this dodgy knee and all, so…

EDDIE: Fine. I'll take Kid Kash and wrestle tonight.

MODEST: Right you are. So where are they?

We cut to a COMMERCIAL.

We return and see the parking lot. We see a car pull up and Zero-G steps out. They enter the arena. In the Jackyl Pack locker-room…

EDDIE: Finally!

Back in the ring, we hear PEPPER (Butthole Surfers) and Mikey Whipwreck walks down to the ring with his usual round of boos booming through the arena. Then the crowd goes crazy as the opening guitar riff of ACE OF SPADES (Motorhead) signals the arrival of HHH! The Game rushes the ring and Mikey meets him head on.
MIKEY WHIPWRECK VS HHH
Although not a good as their PPV match, this was still an enjoyable TV match. When HHH and Mikey meet, it doesn't look terribly like a wrestling, it looks like a huge street fight with a few wrestling spots thrown in. They fight stiff as always, and both men get off some big moves. Then Robbie Brookside jumped the guar-rail from the crowd and ducked down by one side of the ring. Mikey then hit a Whippersnapper from nowhere, and Robbie popped up long enough to grab HHH's legs! Mikey covers! One…Two…Three! Robbie Brookside just cheated HHH!

Mikey Whipwreck pinned HHH with the Whippersnapper in 0:07:30.
Rating: ** 3/4

Post match, Robbie stares at HHH. HHH jumps out of the ring and Robbie runs back through the crowd. Mikey just celebrates regardless. Once he's left, WE WILL ROCK YOU (Seasons Of The Wolf) plays and Tiger Mask IV gets a good reception for his entrance. That is followed by PRISONER (Iron Maiden) and Shinjiro Ohtani enters to a surprisingly good reaction from the crowd.

TIGER MASK IV VS SHINJIRO OHTANI
These two were on great form tonight. Trading blows in a very Japanese Style match. The crowd loved it, and as a result, the match was even better. Ohtani made a mistake towards the end, going for his springboard leg lariat, TMIV got up and dodged the Ohtani-shaped projectile. He then hit his finisher for the three.

Tiger Mask IV pinned Shinjiro Ohtani with the Tiger Suplex Hold in 0:09:05.
Rating: *** 1/2
Post match, TMIV offered a handshake to Ohtani, but Ohtani slapped it away and walked back up the aisle looking a little dejected. Koji Kanemoto came through the curtain to talk to Ohtani, but Ohtani just ignored him and walked past.

COMMERCIALS

We are informed that Ohtani has left the building, and the two teams are already in the ring for this bout. So lets begin.

J-THUNDER VS CHAVO GUERRERO JR. & CHRIS JERICHO
J-Thunder were of course their usual selves and controlled a lot of this. Jericho was quite content to apply a hold and shot to Chavo that ""his is how you do it!" Meanwhile Chavo just stood on the apron and smiled a lot. As soon as he tagged in though, Billy Kidman ran in and attacked everyone, causing the draw by double dq.

J-Thunder and Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Chris Jericho battled to a draw in 0:10:00.Rating: ***

Post match, Billy nailed a Kid Krusher on Funaki, and went up top for a Shooting Star Press, but TAKA climbed up with him and nailed a top-rope Michinoku Driver. He then turned and got hit with a Double Pwerbomb from Jericho, who in turn got Tornado DDTed by Chavo Jr. Chavo then left the ring and got on the mic.

CHAVO: Now Chris, when you said you wanted to team with me, I thought you might have an alterior motive, but it seems not. Well, since you guys seem to love running in on me so much, we will all meet at Elimination in a 5-Way Cruiserweight Title match. See you guys there!

Chavo leaves to a good ovation from the crowd. Once the ring is cleared, KRYPTONITE (3 Doors Down) hits and Kanyon and Essa enter to a round of cheers. Then we hear no music as Eddie and Kash enter arguing.

EDDIE GUERRERO & KID KASH VS KANYON & ESSA RIOS
And so the match went. Zero-G and Jackyl Pack representative argued A LOT! Of course, this didn't last, as both guys just decided to stop talking and fight their own battles. This got a little mixed when Eddie started to fight Kanyon. This led to Kid Kash and Essa Rios putting on a spot fest. It all ended when Kanyon nailed Eddie with a Flatliner on the outside at the same time as Kash got the pin with the Money Maker.

Eddie Guerrero and Kid Kash defeated Essa Rios and Kanyon when Kid Kash pinned Essa with the Money Maker in 0:06:38.
Rating: ** 3/4

Once we return, both guys are in the ring, so the match begins.

AL SNOW VS RAVEN
Not near their past matches, but as good as anyone would have expected. The two put on the usual spots against each other, and Raven nearly hit the Evenflow a few times. The end came when Kiefer Sutherland (who was at ringside) nailed Raven with a chair shot, and Al finished him off with the superkick.

Al Snow pinned Raven after a superkick in 0:12:13.Rating: ***

As Al celebrated, the big screen flashed on and Glen Jacobs stood in a darkened room with a mic.

JACOBS: Hey! Al! I see you got by Raven with a little help from your friends. Well, I got news for ya! You wont get the chance to have help like that at Elimination. I am walking in the NCPW World Champ, and that's how I'm leaving, because not one of you can beat me in that ring.

The screen flashes off. Once the area is clear again, SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT (Nirvana) means DDP enters. He is closely followed by THORN WITHIN (MetallicA) playing and making the crowd pop huge for Ken Shamrock.

KEN SHAMROCK VS DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE
Here we go: DDP dominates the first two minutes, and then Diamond Cutters Ken. Ken snaps and kills DDP, making him tap.

Ken Shamrock made Diamond Dallas Page submit to the Ankle Lock Submission in 0:04:15.Rating: * 1/2

The ring clears and we get ready ofr the main event. DUCK AND RUN (3 Doors Down) means that "The Wildcat" is entering and the crowd boos madly. Robbie is finally over big time, and he's ready for this match. INSIDE (Stiltskin) paves the way for a large standing ovation and the world champion enters.

WORLD TITLE MATCH
GLEN JACOBS (C) VS ROBBIE BROOKSIDE

A great match, PPV calibre. Robbie had a lot of offense, and had a few near falls with a Tornado DDT, a superkick, and a few others. Glen meanwhile powered himself through a lot of slams and suplexes. On an interesting note, with Bam Bam and Awesome gone, Robbie is now the second tallest wrestler in the NCPW. Anyways, the end came when Robbie accidently superkicked the referee. HHH then ran in and hit Robbie with the Game Over. He then picked the dead on his feet Robbie up and whipped him in…LARIAT! HHH revied the referee and he counted. One…two…thrno! Robbie kicked out! Glen picked him up nailed the Unabomb for the final three count.

Glen Jacobs pinned Robbie Brookside with the Unabomb in 0:16:08.
Rating: *** 3/4
(Glen Jacobs retained the NCPW World Title.)

HHH continued to beat o the prone Robbie after the maatch. The big screen then flashed on and we see Al Snow outside smashing a car up. Glen loks confused as things unfold on the  screen. AL SNOW! IT'S PRE-RECORDED! SNOW IS BEHIND GLEN…SUPERKICK! Springboard Leg Drop! Glen is dead!

SNOW: Hey Glen! Looks like I outsmarted you, you big dumb idiot! Things haven't changed Glen…that world title is coming back to me, and you can't…

HHH hit Snow with the Game Over! HHH stands alone in the ring!

Fade out.

METTLE TAPING MAY 2003 WEEK 4

After the usual WALK ON WATER (Ozzy Osbourne) opening sequence, the arena appears on screen and the ptros down the aisle and on the ring posts go off, signalling the start of the show. We are only one week from ELIMINATION 2003: DOUBLE JEOPARDY, so lets go to ringside.

Tonights show is a mix of live stuff and highlights from recent house shows. We open with a live match from here in the Richfield Coliseum. All four men are in the ring so lets get down there.

EIJI EZAKI & NOVA VS DEVON STORM & MICHAEL MODEST
Much like last weeks mix tag match, this was a great match. Eij iand Nova worked well together, and Devon and Modest refused to co-operate with each other. As a result, they fell to the faces when Nova pinned Modest.

Eiji Ezaki and Nova defeated Devon Storm and Michael Modest when Nova pinned M. Modest with the Kryptonite Krunch in 0:07:07.
Rating: *** 3/4

Post match, Modest and Devon got in a shoving match, which bought out Eddie Guerrero and Kid Kash to calm their team mates down. What they didn't realise is that Kanyon and Essa Rios are now also out there. Eddie and Devon get Totally Innovated, and Kash and Modest fall to stereo leg lariats.

We cut to the parking lot earlier tonight and we see Raven standing alone. He walks through the cars as he speaks.

RAVEN: At Elimination, I face two men. Mikey Whipwreck…I have fought you many a time before tonight, and each time I think I have you figured out, you surprise me. Well…NO MORE! At Elimiantion, YOU Mikey will fall to man who is going to Overdrive to face the World Champion. And so we come to you Ken Shamrock. You and I have waged a war that I thought we had long since finished. Well, the final chapter oif our struggle it seems is yet to come. At Elimination, you and I do battle once again, only this time I know each and every move you could do. I know how you fight, and unlike Mikey, you do not surprise me. Elimination is your resting place Shamrock, as you are like Mikey…you WILL NOT go to Overdrive to face the world champ.

Raven stops as he comes to a tree besides the arena. He rests against it.

RAVEN: Glen Jacobs…you go into Elimination confident. You go in as "the man"…but do you have what it takes to leave the same way? I know you do, but I know you can be beat. Glen…IF you manage to retain the title on Sunday…then you and me square off. We fight as friends, and we fight over a common goal. I know Glen…I KNOW what it takes to be champion. I know what it takes to win the title, and I know what it takes to keep the belt. I know you will go out of your way to make sure you keep the title on Sunday, and at Overdrive. But in the end…I will be as I have been many times before. I will be the victor. Quote The Raven. Nevermore.

We cut to a House Show Match from earlier in the week.

TIGER MASK IV VS NICK DINSMORE
The crowd was up for anything at this house show. Indeed, they got into each near fall, regardless of who was in the match, and who was going for the fall. As a result, this near fall fest was heat city. In the end, the newcomer fell to TMIV.

Tiger Mask IV pinned Nick Dinsmore with the Tiger Suplex Hold in 0:07:46.
Rating: ** 3/4
Live in the backstage area at the Richfield Coliseum…

SHAMROCK: When Sunday comes, the world's most dangerous man goes into the PPV as a hopeful. When it is all said and done, the world's most dangerous man leaves as the top contender to the world title. I have no worries leading into the card. You see, I have beaten Raven before. I have taken his best and thrown it back at him. Mikey Whipwreck? The Coalition's butt-kisser? He poses no threat to me. Mikey…Raven…if you know what is good for you, then stay out of my way.

Live in the ring, a match has already started.

JUSTIN CREDIBLE VS SHINJIRO OHTANI
Ohtani controlled the first minute, but then messed up a springboard dropkick. From there, he was not on his game, and Justin made him ay. He finished the Japanese star's night quickly.

Justin Credible pinned Shinjiro Ohtani with the That's Incredible in 0:05:58.
Rating: ** 1/2
Post match, Ohtani got up dazed, and asked the referee if it was over. The referee nodded and told him the result. Ohtani looked stunned, and left the ring loooking crest-fallen.

Taped earlier today in a Kitchen…

WHIPWRECK: Everyone…everyone sees me as nothing more than a corprorate butt-kisser. Well, Mikey is ready to show you all what he can do. You see, Mikey Whipwreck is a man who has worked as hard as anyone in the NCPW, and is in line for his a title shot. When Al Snow walks out of Elimination with his belt, he WILL know that I am the top contender. Not Raven…Not Shamrock…No one can stop me from reaching my destination at the top of the ladder…

We hear from outside:

KIEFER: MIKEY! Is that coffee ready yet?

MIKEY: Huh? Yeah, wait a minute.

Mikey walks past with a tray of mugs as we cut to the ring for a live match.

HHH VS JUVI
Juvi got in a few moments of offense that shicked HHH at the start, but within a minute, HHH  had control and squashed Juvi to the cheers of the fans.

HHH pinned Juventud Guerrera with the Game Over in 0:04:18.
Rating: *** 1/4
Post match, HHH grab a mic.

HHH: At Elimination, I'm going to the Double Jeopardy match. I'm going in as nothing more than a challenger. When the opening bell rings, I weill be a challenger. When the final bell rings…I will hold the world title. The Game is That damn good, and like it or not, he's leaving Elimination with his belt…but that's not top of my list. You see, Elimination gives me a chance to get my hands on Robbie Brookside. The Wildcat can run no more. There are no more sneak attacks. You and me Robbie…one-on-one. And then once I beat you, and I win the title…YOU Kiefer Sutherland will have to face me. You can send your little flunkies after me, but it wont do any good. I want YOU in this ring. And if you screw me out of the title belt, I will STILL get you in this ring, one way or another…

DIE AGAIN (Wolfsbane) plays and Kiefer appears on the big screen.

KIEFER: Oh yeah Hunter, a real hard man, aren't ya! Well, if you want me, you've gotta earn it. But more on that when the time comes. Tonight, you need to go get ready, `cause you're in another match. You are in the main event, partnering Glen Jacobs against Snow and Robbie, so why don't you just run along like…

HHH: Cut the crap Kiefer. You know as well as this crowd that YOU and me are on a path that meets head on.

KIEFER: Ooooh…I'm shaking in my boots. C'Mon…try me.

The Big Screen flashes off, and HHH leaves as we cut to a House Show match.

DDP VS SUPER CRAZY
A cold crowd for this house show. As a result, DDP and Crazy drew very little heat. The finish saw DDP hit his finisher for the pin.

Diamond Dallas Page pinned Super Crazy with the Diamond Cutter in 0:05:04.
Rating: ** 1/4

Taped earlier in a gym…

BROOKSIDE: I have faced many challenges in my career. None like this though. At Elimination, I fight HHH. I say fight Hunter, `cause that's what it'll be. A FIGHT! You are going to fins out why they call me The Wildcat in Germany. You are going to meet the beast within me! You are going to SUFFER! And why? Because it's the only way I can get some fucking recognition here. Beating your worthless ass is the only way I can get noticed. And when I'm finished with you, I will move on to retgaining the world title. Be warned all who enter the Double Jeopardy…The Wildcat is going to be unleashed.

Taped at a House Show in Canada…

I-QUIT-SUBMISSION MATCH
DEAN MALENKO VS MASATO YAKUSHIJI
Not as good as these two have done under these rules on TV, but it is a house show, so that's OK. Yakushiji gets the big win this week.

Submission I-Quit Match
Masato Yakushiji made Dean Malenko submit to the Yakushiji Lock in 0:12:59.
Rating: ** 3/4

In the ring LIVE, Al Snow is taunting the crowd, and is fiunally handed a mic.

SNOW: Here I am…Simply Sensational, and in the flesh. The three time world champion of the NCPW…it's time. It's time that the NCPW saw just how much of a loser Glen Jacobs is. I mean…Isaac Yankem ring any bells? Tell me Glen…you could have stuck with me and gone to the top, but you chose to go to Vinceville and become a dentist. Why? WHY? Because you're a stupid idiot! And now you face me in Double Jeopardy. Well Glen…you aint got much to worry about. I understand you've been working on your conditioning, trying to be prepared. HA! You wont need it! Save yourself some time! I'm just gonna beat you in under ten minutes anyway!

INSIDE (Stiltskin) blazes over the PA, and the world champ stands I the aisle as the crowd applauses.

JACOBS: You know Al…you seem to think you're some sort of God. Why did you have to dig up the whole dentist thing, huh? Well, if you want to talk past mistakes, lets talk past mistakes. Leif Cassidy? Avatar? Shinobi? Head Cheese? Ringing any bells up there Snow?

SNOW: Well…OK…I…

JACOBS: When Sunday comes, I will be standing tall as the champion Al. Deal with it.

We go to COMMERCIALS

He is wearing blue jeans, an Iron Maiden t-shirt, a sleeveless denim jacket, and a bandana under shoulder length hair. A voice says "Do you remember?" and the lights come on, and the arena is full os screaming metallers. The man jumps around on stage as a live version of IRON MAIDEN (Iron Maiden) plays. As the music fades, once the chorus is finished, so does the picture. Text appears and a voice says "The 80's are his era…NOW is his time…"

GLEN JACOBS & HHH VS AL SNOW & ROBBIE BROOKSIDE
Great main event. Both teams worked together, and the action was put together well. In the end, HHH was doing a number on Robbie, but Robbie hit a low blow and tagged Snow. Robbie then walked away through the crowd. Snow looked on confused and turned…GAME OVER! 1-2-3.
