CRUISER KINGS NIGHT 1
NOTES AND HIGHLIGHTS:

[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT ROUND 1]: Four Corners Match
Dragon Kid defeated Rey Misterio Jr., Masaaki Mochizuki and Juventud Guerrera:
x M. Mochizuki beat J. Guerrera via the Cross Leg Scissors in 0:05:54
x Misterio Jr. beat M. Mochizuki via a Victory Roll in 0:09:45
x Dragon Kid beat Misterio Jr. via the Dragon Rana in 0:13:21
Rating: ** ½

The opening match saw Dragon Kid putting in a strong performance. Rey Jr. and Dragon Kid had the battle of the Rana to end the match and the crowd loved it. The finish saw Dragon Kid hit the Dragon Rana, but Rey rolled through, followed immediately by Dragon Kid rolling through to get the pin.

[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT ROUND 1]: Four Corners Match
CIMA defeated Jyushin Lyger, Great Sasuke and Kaz Hayashi:
x Hayashi beat Sasuke via the Pullover DDT in 0:07:10
x Lyger beat Hayashi via the Running Lyger Bomb in 0:10:42
x CIMA beat Lyger via the Mad Splash in 0:16:17
Rating: *** ½

The smart pick for match of the first round saw Hayashi get the surprise first elimination by besting Sasuke. Lyger then got the expected fall on Hayashi. This left CIMA and Lyger. CIMA had refused to get involved to this point. The key to him winning the match however was his Crazy MAX stable mates who were hanging around the ringside area. As Lyger set up the Running Lyger Bomb, they grabbed his leg, causing him to drop CIMA. CIMA then hit a Rising Venus, a suplex and the Mad Splash for the pin.
[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT ROUND 1]: Four Corners Match\
Eiji Ezaki defeated Blitzkrieg, Curry Man and Evan Karagias:
x Eiji Ezaki beat Karagias via the Firebird Splash in 0:06:56
x Curry Man beat Blitzkrieg via the Spicy Drop in 0:07:47
x Eiji Ezaki beat Curry Man via the Firebird Splash in 0:10:16
Rating: ***

This match was highlighted by Eiji Ezaki putting in an amazing showing and making short work of all comers.
[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT ROUND 1]: Four Corners Match
Tiger Mask IV defeated Tony Mamaluke, SUWA and EZ Money:
x SUWA beat Money via the FFF in 0:03:47
x SUWA beat Mamaluke via the FFF in 0:05:26
x T. Mask IV beat SUWA via the Tiger Suplex Hold in 0:19:01
Rating: ***

SUWA started the match off by taking care of Tony Mamaluke and EZ Money largely thanks to Crazy MAX causing distractions enough for him to hit the FFF. However, before he fought TMIV, Jeff Jarrett came out and ejected Crazy MAX form the ringside area! This left SUWA and Tiger Mask IV to fight it out for just over 10 minutes. SUWA hit move after move on the fourth generation of the legend, but TIV always managed to come back again. Finally, TMIV broke his arms free from a FFF attempt, hit a quick go behind, and then applied the Tiger Suplex Hold for the 1-2-3 and the huge pop.
[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT ROUND 1]: Four Corners Match
Darkness Dragon defeated Magnum TOKYO, Shoichi Funaki and El Samurai:
x Funaki beat Samurai via the Fisherman's Buster in 0:07:49
x Darkness Dragon beat M. TOKYO via the Darkness Buster in 0:08:49
x Darkness Dragon beat Funaki via the Darkness Buster in 0:15:15
Rating: ** ¾

Surprisingly strong match here. Funaki got the heated fall on El Samurai, then Darkness Dragon destroyed Magnum TOKYO. Darkness Dragon got the win over Funaki thanks to CIMA running in and nailing Funaki behind the referee's back before being chased off by Jarrett.
[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT ROUND 1]: Four Corners Match\
TARU defeated Koji Kanemoto, Gran Hamada and Gran Naniwa:
x Hamada beat Naniwa via the Hamada-Chan Cutter in 0:05:42
x Kanemoto beat Hamada via the Tiger Suplex in 0:06:15
x TARU beat Kanemoto via the TARU Driller in 0:10:32
Rating: *** ¾

The surprise best match of Round 1 was this one. The ancient Gran Hamada beat Naniwa in style but was eliminated near straight away when Kanemoto hit a Tiger Suplex as he celebrated. This left Crazy Max against Kai En Tai 2K3 in essence. Again, CIMA was integral in the result. As the two men went back and forth, we were treated to the humorous sight of Jarrett chasing CIMA down the aisle and around the ring. This managed to provide enough distraction for TARU to hit 3 TARU Drillers on Koji for the three.
[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT ROUND 1]: Four Corners Match\
TAKA Michinoku defeated Jonny Storm, BIG FUJI and Essa Rios:
x Michinoku beat J. Storm via the Michinoku Driver in 0:05:10
x FUJI beat Essa via the Nodawa Elbow in 0:07:10
x Michinoku beat FUJI via a top-rope spin kick in 0:13:08
Rating: ** ¾

Nearing the end of night 1 saw this strong match. TAKA beat Jonny quickly and FUJI did the same to Essa. AGAIN, Kai En Tai 2K3 v/s Crazy MAX here. CIMA, SUWA and TARU tried to get down the aisle, so they had obviously escaped Jarrett. However, Kai En Tai 2K3 members Koji Kanemoto and Funaki made an appearance and took out SUWA and TARU. CIMA started to walk down the aisle again, but Chavo ran in from the crowd and chased him off. The match in the ring went back and forth. TAKA hit move after move but could not keep FUJI down. The final blow was when he escaped the Nodawa Elbow and went to the top. A dropkick to the face stumbled FUJI. A further top-rope Spin Kick to the face KO'ed him.
[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT ROUND 1]: Four Corners Match
Shinjiro Ohtani defeated Jody Fleisch, Heavy Metal and Dick Togo:
x Togo beat J. Fleisch via the Senton Bomb in 0:05:53
x Ohtani beat H. Metal via the Dragon Suplex in 0:08:47
x Ohtani beat Togo via a Victory Roll in 0:16:57
Rating: ** ¼

Ohtani dominated this one till he came up against Togo. Even then, he won the crowd over with an almost heroic performance. Strange considering he's a heel. Even so he went through.

CRUISER KINGS NIGHT 2
NOTES AND HIGHLIGHTS:

Prior to the first match Jarrett announced that all Crazy MAX and Kai En Tai 2K3 members are barred from ringside.
Handicap-Match
Real Time defeated Test when Morley made Test submit to a Boston crab in 0:13:26.
Rating: ** ¼

Real Time have now retired Test from the NCPW. Let's face it though, this is the third time he's been sent packing. Anyway, a good strong end to this feud here. Test fought with everything he had as he went at it with the shooters. In the end though, he had no choice but to tap when Sean Morley put him in a Boston Crab while Peter Gruner put on a facelock. Bye Test!
[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT ROUND 2]
CIMA pinned Dragon Kid with the Mad Splash in 0:10:15.
Rating: *** ½

The Toryumon battle was heated as CIMA threw everything at Dragon Kid. The Lil' Dragon managed to hold on right till the end, but CIMA was just too much for him. Rising Venus, Iconoclasm, Mad Splash.
[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT ROUND 2]
Tiger Mask IV pinned Eiji Ezaki after the Millennium Suplex in 0:10:20.
Rating: **** ¼

TMIV and Eiji Ezaki get joint top match of the night here. Back and forth and very heated as TMIV goes over with the dangerous looking Millennium Suplex.
[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT ROUND 2]
TARU pinned Darkness Dragon with the TARU Driller in 0:09:15.
Rating: *

Blown spot after blown spot after blown spot. Shame.
[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT ROUND 2]
TAKA Michinoku pinned Shinjiro Ohtani with the Michinoku Driver in 0:12:10.
Rating: *** ¾

Final Round 2 match sees TAKA and Ohtani putting on a great match like they used to in NJPW. TAKA of course goes over.
Dean Malenko and Nick Dinsmore defeated Chris And Dave when D. Malenko made Chris Jericho submit to the Texas Cloverleaf in 0:17:42.
Rating: *** ½
(Dean Malenko and Nick Dinsmore won the NCPW Tag Team Titles.)

Long and VERY heated tag titles match here. Best finish of the show easily. Jericho sets up the Double Powerbomb. Hits one, but on the second, Malenko hits a hurucanrana. Jericho rolls through straight away, but so does Malenko and he applies the Texas Cloverleaf straight away. Dinsmore takes care of Harris and we have new champs!
[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT SEMI FINALS]
CIMA pinned Tiger Mask IV after a small package in 0:16:27.
Rating: *** ½

Semi Final one sees CIMA and TMIV put on the sort of match you'd expect when on man is saving himself for the final. TMIV took a LOT of big bumps for the Crazy MAX leader tonight, and it helped the match. CIMA nailed a small package and used the ropes to get the win.
[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT SEMI FINAL]
TAKA Michinoku pinned TARU with the Michinoku Driver in 0:15:11.
Rating: *** ½

A possible Crazy MAX final was quashed by TAKA as he succeeded in reversing the TARU Driller into the Michinoku Driver for the three.
Robbie Brookside pinned Stevie Richards with the Cross-Armed Iconoclasm in 0:17:26.
Rating: *** ½

With neither man wearing baby clothes, or a dress these two had their dignity back. They also had a heated match. The match went back and forth repeatedly until Robbie managed to catch Stevie off guard and hit his finisher for the fall.

Post match sees Stevie offer his hand to Robbie as a sig of respect. Robbie refuses and walks off as the Japanese crowd boos.
[CRUISER KINGS TOURNAMENT FINAL]
CIMA pinned TAKA Michinoku with the Mad Splash in 0:25:53.
Rating: **** ¼

The VERY long final of the tournament was amazing. With no interference these two put on a great show. TAKA looked like he'd win it so many times but just fell short of the Crazy MAX leader. This means that CIMA gets the title shot.
