NCPW POWERSLAVE 2003: THE SEVENTH STAGE OF HELL
Sunday October 26th, Hell is coming to the NCPW once again.

COMING SOON

HELL IN A CELL TOP CONTENDERS MATCH
[SEVEN STAGES OF HELL PART VII]
“THE SICKEST MAN IN THE BUSINESS” SICK BOY
V/S
RAVEN
This perhaps began when Sick Boy attacked Al Snow. Raven and HHH tried to make the save, but to no avail. With Al Snow out of action, Sick Boy moved on to HHH. HHH emerged victorious and Raven stepped in. Making the point that Sick Boy cannot control himself made sure that Raven had a new enemy. Despite this hate, Raven has been determined to help Sick Boy learn to control his potential and get to the top…as well as being ready for when HE returns. Raven has made many attempts to get through to Sick Boy, but none have yet worked. Finally, he grew tired of Sick Boy ignoring his offers and advice and became more aggressive with “The Sickest Man In The Business.” This led to Raven creating the “7 Stages Of Hell.” The first stage for Sick Boy was for him and Raven to fight in a regular one-on-one match.

Raven pinned Sick Boy with the Evenflow DDT in 0:05:39.
Rating: ** 1/2

Taking just over five minutes to take Sick Boy apart, Raven had made his point. Sick Boy was furious over this loss and vowed to take revenge in the next stage: a simple No Holds Barred match.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match
Raven pinned Sick Boy with the Evenflow DDT in 0:07:12.
Rating: *** 1/4

Again Raven was victorious. The Evenflow DDT dropped Sick Boy for the second time after he made the mistake of getting pissed of with the referee, allowing Raven time to recover. Raven later pointed this out and told Sick Boy to calm it a little. Sick Boy replied with “Calm it? Fine…I'll fucking calm it…” and left. The next stage was to be a Cage match. Prior to the match, Sick Boy “calmly” snapped and attacked Raven with his metal bar, damaging his leg.

Cage Match
Sick Boy defeated Raven by escaping the cage in 0:08:15.
Rating: ** 3/4

Sick Boy FINALLY got his win. He re-entered the cage after winning with the intention of doing more damage to Raven but he was stopped when the arena lights turned blue and a message appeared on the NCPW Big Screen: “I'm coming…” Sick Boy shouted at Raven, and Raven took a microphone and replied with “I told you he was coming back. The time is nearly here.” Sick Boy stared at him and then left. Raven decided to increase the intensity here by making the next stage a Barbed Wire match.

Barbed Wire Match
Raven pinned Sick Boy with the Evenflow DDT in 0:09:50.
Rating: ***

AGAIN Sick Boy failed to get up form the Evenflow DDT and Raven took over in HIS environment. Raven left the ring as Sick Boy lay knocked out in the middle of the ring. The lights then went off. When they came back on, Sick Boy had the words “I'm coming back” spray-painted over him. When he awoke and realised this, he was pissed off and took out the referee, three paramedics and a cameraman. From this, Raven gave him the chance to beat him into submission by facing him in an I-Quit Match.

I-Quit Match
Raven made Sick Boy submit to the STF in 0:07:34.
Rating: ***

Sick Boy was making a habit of losing to Raven now. Although he ALWAYS regained the win by beating someone else the next show, he was getting into the habit of just about not managing to get the wins against his nemesis. He had obviously prepared here though, as he seemed a little more methodical in his attacks. Even so, he snapped when Raven would not tap and this led to him making mistakes enough for Raven to put him in the STF in the aisle. Just like when Raven and Shamrock fought, the man in the hold refused to give up. In the end, the match was stopped when Sick Boy passed out. Raven left. When Sick Boy left the arena on the show after this match, he found that his car had been spray painted with the word “Returning.” This was by now getting to Sick Boy. He naturally blamed it on a Raven mind game. The next stage was a match that Raven brought to the NCPW: A Cross Match.

Cross Match
Raven defeated Sick Boy in 0:09:16.
Rating: ** ½

Sick Boy was freaking out over the “Returning” messages. In this match, Raven again nailed an Evenflow DDT. He placed Sick Boy on the Cross and was declared the winner. When Sick Boy came around, Raven revealed that is WAS him who was behind the messages appearing. He had succeeded in destroying Sick Boy before the final battle had started. He then also revealed that he thinks Sick Boy may finally be learning, and to reward him the final match would be a top contenders match, with the winner facing the World Champion on the Mettle following Powerslave. On that note the final NCPW RAGE ended. Mettle saw Raven reveal that the final stage of Hell would be a HELL IN A CELL MATCH! Sick Boy again tried to attack Raven behind the scenes to gain an early advantage, but Raven managed to escape any harm.

WORLD TITLE MATCH
“THE GAME” HHH
[CHAMPION]
V/S
“THE DEMON OF DESTRUCTION” GLEN JACOBS
Glen Jacobs has been cocky since he won the World Title. He made mistake after mistake in his reign and eventually lost the title to HHH thanks to this attitude. Determined not to make the same mistake again he took up HHH's challenge: Winner of his match gets top contendership and has to defend it once a week. This saw Glen Jacobs making he same mistakes against everyone from Steve Corino to Kanyon but still coming out on top. Meanwhile, HHH had been making the occasional defence of his belt against those who Glen beat. This however, only happened once in a while, and he spent most of his time taunting Glen. The last few weeks of the challenge was the turning point for Glen Jacobs however. HHH announced that the final defence of the top contendership challenge would be a royal rumble style match with all the top contenders. The current top contender would prove himself by being the first man in the ring. Glen thought it would be to his advantage to NOT be this man. Later that night he fought Maxx Payne.

Top Contenders Match
Mikey Whipwreck defeated Glen Jacobs with a top rope crossbody in 0:09:16.
Rating: ** ¼

For the brunt of the match, Mikey tried to gain an advantage but ended up being beaten down by Glen. However, at the end of the match Glen took a VERY long time in setting up the Unabomb. In fact, he posed with Mikey set up for around a minute. Mikey then managed a low blow, which floored Glen Jacobs. He mounted the top turnbuckle and came off with a crossbody on Glen for the win and top contendership. To add to this unexpected result, Glen left the ring afterwards with a smile on his face. The next week, Mikey made his defence against Taz thanks to Perry Saturn. Meanwhile, the draw was made for when everybody would enter the ten man royal rumble on the Mettle before the PPV. These were the results:

01-Mikey Whipwreck
02-Perry Saturn
03-Robbie Brookside
04-Shinjiro Ohtani
05-Stevie Richards
06-Steve Corino
07-Justin Credible
08-Rob Van Dam
09-Taz
10-Glen Jacobs

Things were looking good for Glen Jacobs until backstage cameras showed him bragging about how he'd fixed the draw so that he was the last man in. HHH decided that the only fair way to solve this would be to make the match a regular battle royal. This enraged Glen Jacobs and he promised that he would win the match no matter what.

Top Contenders Battle Royal
Glen Jacobs won a Battle Royal in 0:12:56
Rating: ***

The match went as follows: Saturn and Taz went after each other, Corino went for Mikey, RVD and Stevie brawled, Ohtani and Brookside went at it, and Glen Jacobs and Credible stood at opposite ends of the ring not doing anything. When everyone noticed this they went for Credible and ousted him. Glen laughed at Justin's misfortune, but soon found himself facing the same fate when everyone went for him too. He managed to land himself on the apron though and mount a comeback before climbing into the ring and eliminating Mikey, Stevie and Perry in quick succession. Saturn helped Ohtani pull Taz out of the ring but soon flattened by Ohtani when Robbie threw him out. RVD eliminated Robbie before Glen Jacobs threw him out. This left Glen and Corino. The two cockiest men in the NCPW stared each other down as the crowd went nuts. As Corino advanced however, Mikey ran in and nailed him with the FTW title belt! This made it easy for Glen to eliminate him! Glen celebrated in the ring until HHH ran in. He stopped and dropped the World Title in front of Glen and they stared each other down as the show went off air.

TAG MATCH
“THE WHOLE F'N SHOW” ROB VAN DAM & SHINJIRO OHTANI
V/S
“WILDCAT” ROBBIE BROOKSIDE & STEVIE RICHARDS
Despite losing to Robbie Brookside at Cruiser Kings, Stevie was determined. Now that both he and Robbie had some dignity back they were both ready to fight all comers. He went straight for TV champ Rob Van Dam. Unfortunately, so did Robbie Brookside. This made things seem like the two may just continue to feud. What we ended up with was RVD v/s Stevie v/s Robbie!

Triple Threat Match
Rob Van Dam defeated Stevie Richards and Robbie Brookside when he pinned Stevie Richards with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:15:08
Rating: ****

The ending to this match saw Stevie and Robbie having RVD down for the count but arguing over who should pin him! RVD made a recovery and hit a spin kick that sent Stevie into Robbie. The Wildcat shoved Stevie back and nailed a Superkick! RVD then nailed the Five Star Frog Splash while Robbie walked out. The next week, Stevie did something unexpected and tried to make things up to Robbie. He explained how he had grown to respect Robbie while they feuded. Robbie agreed to listen to what Stevie had to say. Later on in the show, a challenge was made for a rematch of the three-way match at Powerslave. RVD said he knew they were planning to team up on him and instead proposed a tag match with a partner of his choice. When Stevie and Robbie agreed, Ohtani was revealed as the surprise partner. While RVD and Ohtani have been showing some good teamwork over the weeks, the same cannot be said of Stevie and Robbie. Despite Stevie's best efforts, Robbie has a lack of trust for him. He has decided that since the winner of the fall at Powerslave gets top contendership, Stevie WILL betray him. Stevie has tried to convince him otherwise, but Robbie has no desire to listen to his partner. He has even gone as far as to say that given the chance he would double-cross Stevie. Meanwhile, it was revealed that Ohtani would gain top contendership should he and RVD win. In a last attempt to get Robbie on his side, Stevie had the stipulation added that should he and Robbie win, the person who did not make the fall would face Ohtani for top contendership. Meanwhile, if Ohtani and RVD won then Robbie and Stevie would clash for top contendership. Although Robbie and Stevie are not on the same wave-length, and have shown this in a series of tag matches breaking down into arguments and Robbie walking out, they DID have one moment of co-operation when they nailed a double Superkick on RVD, and another on Ohtani. Robbie then walked out again and refused to believe that Stevie was on his side. The match must still go on however, and only time will tell if Stevie and Robbie can work together long enough for one of them gain top contendership.

TAG TITLES MATCH
DEAN MALENKO & NICK DINSMORE
[CHAMPIONS]
V/S
MAXX PAYNE & VAN HAMMER
After the heated tag match at Cruiser Kings, Malenko and Dinsmore came out on Mettle to brag about how they had proven they were the greatest tag team in the world. Chris Jericho and Dave Harris came out ready to fight but the new tag champs pointed out that the Cruiser Kings match was a one shot deal. Chris and Dave shrugged and said they've got a surprise for Dean and Nick later. Later on in the show, Chris and Dave announced that there would be a top contenders match between themselves, Zero-G, The Jackyl Pack and Flame of Redemption. The next week on Mettle, the tag champs attacked Chris and Dave. Deemed unfit to wrestle that night they were given the chance to choose their replacements in the match.

Top Contenders Match
Maxx Payne and Van Hammer defeated Zero-G, The Jackyl Pack and Flames of Redemption when Maxx Payne pinned Eddie Guerrero with a Diamond Cutter in 0:13:56.
Rating: *** ½

Dean and Nick were at ringside, and happy with themselves for taking out their biggest threats. Then Maxx and Hammer were announced as the replacements. This seemed to be no surprise to the champs. However, the back and forth match that ensued saw all four teams show a variety of strengths that seemed to make the tag champs uneasy. To make matters worse for the champs, Chris and Dave came out of the audience and attacked them. The brawl spilled into the ring, distracting Eddie Guerrero who was beating on Maxx Payne. As the fight fell out the other end of the ring, Maxx Payne hit a low blow and then hit the ropes. He came off with a vicious Diamond Cutter for the unexpected 1-2-3. The next show saw the former champs saying how they would escort their friends to the ring at Powerslave and ensure that they get the win. However, the tag champs came out and noted that Mr. Doyle had said that if Chris and Dave touched the tag champs or even came near them, they would be suspended from the NCPW. In short, they cannot touch Dean and Nick until they lose the tag titles. This seemed to make Dean and Nick more confident about beating their foes, until that is they saw Maxx and Van Hammer face Flames of Redemption.

Maxx Payne and Van Hammer defeated Flames of Redemption when Van Hammer pinned Eiji Ezaki with the Back Suplex in 0:09:57.
Rating: ***

The strong performance saw the tag champs leaving the building with Dean telling Dinsmore they must train some more. They both seemed surprised at the level to which Maxx and Hammer could perform. They also have not been since they left the building. However, Maxx Payne seems to have been spending his time trying to get a private meeting with Chris Jericho rather than preparing for this match. Could that be his downfall?

LAUMBERJACK MATCH
[KAI EN TAI 2K3 AND CRAZY MAX ARE THE LUMBERJACKS]
CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
CHAVO GUERRERO JR.
[CHAMPION]
V/S
“NCPW CRUISER KING 2003” CIMA
Ever since Crazy MAX entered the NCPW they seem to have been fighting Kai En Tai 2K3. The reason seems to be that CIMA wants to take the Cruiserweight title from Chavo. Chavo has really shined of late with some amazing wins against the likes of Jyushin Lyger and Eiji Ezaki. However, Crazy MAX seemed to always be one step ahead of them and ended many an episode of Wings posing over the fallen bodies of Kai En Tai 2K3. At Cruiser Kings 2003, CIMA became the Cruiser King by beating TAKA Michinoku in a heated final that saw Crazy MAX and Kai En Tai 2K3 brawl on the outside. CIMA eventually pinned TAKA after a brief case shot and the mad Splash. Since then, Kai En Tai have been enraged. They have gone to great lengths to get to Crazy MAX, and intervened in just about every match involving Crazy MAX members. Despite this, CIMA and his stable mates have all been just as cocky as ever. Their retaliation involved throwing a fireball at Chavo as he exited the ring after a title defence. Chavo had enough sense to duck the fireball but Crazy MAX made their point that night. Jeff Jarrett made this match a Lumberjack match for a number of reasons. It will keep both sides happy as all members are at ringside. If one team cheats, then the other team can intervene. It also means that all members are where they can be seen, so sneak attacks won't happen.

GRUDGE MATCH
KANYON, JERRY LYNN, REAL TIME
V/S
JEFF JARRETT, JUVENTUD GUERRERA, FLAMES OF REDEMPTION
Kanyon was upset about his lack of success since his split with Nova. He took this out on the Cruiserweights and lost to Juventud Guerrera. Following the match he declared War on the cruiserweights. Since then, a number on incidents have led to this match. The first being that Jarrett wanted it ended quickly and so told Kanyon to get a partner and they can face the Cruiser Commissioner and Juventud at Powerslave. However, before this announcement was made, Jarrett had fought Test on Mettle. Real Time ran in and attacked Test, but Jarrett made a stand and took them out with his guitar. After making the tag announcement, Real Time made another attack. This time they took out Jarrett. The next week, Real Time were bragging about how they retired Test form the NCPW, and then took out the Cruiser Commissioner. Jarrett came out and brought Flames of Redemption with him. FoR then proceeded to beat Real Time fairly in the middle of the ring. Throwing a fit, Real Time claimed they were cheated and proceeded to beat on the victorious FoR. Kanyon then entered through the crowd and offered Real Time a place with him and Lynn at the PPV. He persuaded them to let FoR go on the condition they joined Juventud and Jarrett at Powerslave. With Jarrett agreeing to this, Jerry Lynn ran entered trough the crowd behind where Jarrett was commentating. He then hit a Cradle Piledriver through the announce table. Kanyon has made it clear that this 8-Man tag match is only the beginning for him.

FTW TITLE MATCH
MIKEY WHIPWRECK
V/S
“THE AMN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND” STEVE CORINO
Mikey Whipwreck has proven himself to be an entertaining and above all else, a fighting champion. He has toppled MANY foes in the NCPW in the FTW environment but has not yet faced Steve Corino. The reasons for this is…he's been having some fun! Corino came in proclaiming himself to be “The man, The Myth, The Legend” of FTW wrestling. Mikey laughed this off and set Corino a number of challenges to prove he is ready for an FTW Title shot. Corino seemed to breeze through these fairly easily. Mikey then revealed that Corino didn't really have to prove anything, he was just fooling around with him before he gave him a title shot. Corino seemed offended by this and walked off pissed off. Mikey announced this match the next week on Mettle, and was then attacked by Steve Corino! Corino hit the Superkick several times on Mikey and then nailed a Whippersnapper. Corino then followed up with a top-rope Whippersnapper! Mikey had to miss his scheduled title defence against John Kronus next week due to this attack. However, Corino substituted for him and destroyed the eliminator. Not shocked by how easy he found his opponent, Corino celebrated. However, Kronus got up! He was playing possum! He hit a reverse DDT on Corino and then Saturn ran in and they hit Total Elimination. Taz then ran in and took out the Eliminators and fought with them up the aisle. Mikey then ran in and helped Corino up. He patted Corino on the back, and then hit him with the Whippersnapper. He counted a mock three count before leaving.

SUPLEX TABLE MATCH
“THE REAL SUPLEX MACHINE” PERRY SATURN
V/S
“THE HUMAN SUPLEX MACHINE” TAZ
The battle of the suplex experts has come down to this. After weeks of each man running on each other, the rules were set for their imminent Powerslave match. The rules are simple: to win you must suplex your opponent through a table. This match has a heated rivalry, yet both men are determined to show some respect to the other here. This respect should make the match one to remember.
